Worth knowing about their water heater work

Two BBB complainants (2025, 2026) said Frank Gay had not obtained or closed out the county permit for a water heater install months later; the company said it was working on one and that the other customer declined access. Another (2025) said they were billed for a 40-gallon heater but got a 30-gallon; they accepted the company's resolution after a $100 refund was offered.

The customer said Frank Gay replaced their hot water heater in January 2026 with the permit included in the contract, but five months later the permit had not been obtained and staff missed three scheduled visits to take pictures.

Company reply and outcome: The company said its manager went to take inspection pictures and the customer said she would hire someone else and closed the door; it said it needs access to close the permit. BBB status: Answered.
