PERMITS & LICENSING
The city's Residential Water Heater Installation Guideline says you need a permit from Building & Safety before you install, move, remove or replace any water heater. A final inspection is required. The permit holder requests it at least one day ahead by phone or online.
Contractors need an active Nevada contractor license. Clark County notes that Southern Nevada contractors also carry a shared regional business license, which the City of Las Vegas issues.
