Water heater replacement & service

Water heater feedback

BBB reviewers praised a leaking water heater fixed within hours of an after-hours call and a technician who tested every faucet after installing a new heater.

Worth knowing about their water heater work

A BBB complainant (Nov 2024) said a water heater the company installed failed after about three years and the company pushed a costly replacement; the company said its labor warranty is one year and the manufacturer's six years, and the customer disputed its details. A 2023 reviewer alleged a botched attic install of a new heater.

BBB complaint

Customer name withheld · 11/19/2024

The customer said a water heater the company supplied and installed around 2020-2021 stopped producing hot water after about three years, that the warranty covered leaks but not electrical issues, and that the company focused on selling a costly new unit.

Company reply and outcome: The company said its labor warranty is one year, the manufacturer warranty six years, and that the 2020 install was a 50-gallon unit; the customer rejected this, saying it was an 80-gallon unit. BBB status: Answered.

BBB customer review

Jonathan C · 10/24/2023

The reviewer said technicians were careless installing a new State water heater in the attic, proposed charging to cut away part of the attic stairway, and after several attempted fixes blamed the new unit rather than the installation.
