Richfield issues home plumbing and mechanical permits through its online inspections portal and says they can be issued when you apply. On November 1, 2024, the city handed electrical permits over to the State of Minnesota. Any electrical permit, such as for a new circuit for an electric or heat pump water heater, goes through DLI.
