PERMITS & LICENSING
Wilmette's permit list (updated 6/18/2024) puts 'Water heater (replacement only)' under work with no permit needed. Boilers and heating units, indoor pipe changes, moved fixtures and electrical work do need permits. The village can still require a permit for work not on the list (847-853-7550).
