PERMITS & LICENSING
Camas's building FAQ marks water heaters as 'Maybe' under mechanical and plumbing permits, and says a permit is only required if there are no modifications to gas lines, plumbing lines, or the location. That seems backward, so check with the Building Division (360-817-1568, permits@cityofcamas.us). When you do need a permit, the city's online portal usually issues it the same day.
