Replacing a water heater in Hickory Hills.
Hickory Hills doesn't post a water heater rule, so ask the Building Department if you need a permit. ComEd, Nicor Gas and the city's own water system serve homes here. Permits cover remodeling and repairs, and the application has its own plumbing inspection fee. Contractors need a yearly city license, but plumbers with an Illinois or Chicago license register free.
