The reviewer said Rite Way quoted $6,760 to replace a tankless water heater versus another plumber's $2,700, then offered to cut the price by $4,060 when told of the other bid, and the estimate claimed a $300 federal credit that had expired.

A family member said their elderly mother hired Rite Way for a leaking water heater, was charged $7,200 for a tankless replacement plus about $42,000 for other repairs, and needed four return visits to fix problems.
Company reply and outcome: Rite Way said the mother was satisfied and the daughter came to understand the work; it agreed to a goodwill resolution that the daughter accepted pending completion.
Ask before booking: Ask for a written, itemized tankless quote and whether any listed rebates or credits are currently available, and get a second bid.
