BBB reviewers alleged a hybrid water heater still under a 10-year warranty was replaced at their cost, an element repair failed to fix a heater that needed replacing, a different tank shape was installed than requested, and a short flush cost $300; the company said it refunded $478.62, $105 and $164.11 in three of those cases.

The reviewer said a technician told them their roughly 7-year-old hybrid hot water heater was out of warranty and began replacing it, but they later found it was still covered by a 10-year warranty.

The reviewer said a technician replaced a water heater element for $625, an electrician then told them the heater itself needed replacing, and they felt they had been overcharged for a heater that still did not work.

The reviewer said the company responded quickly and installed a water heater when theirs broke, but later prepaid service-plan appointments were cancelled after the window had passed.

The reviewer said the technician arrived for a 50-gallon water heater install without the unit, then brought a 50-gallon medium tank instead of the tall model they had requested for their space, and their calls went unanswered.

The reviewer said a water heater maintenance visit consisted of about five minutes of draining, an anode rod estimate without removing it, and a $300 charge.
