Selected reviews · Checked September 29, 2026. Two BBB reviews. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Fort Worth (Mansfield office) and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Arlington list the same license holder (William McDaniel) and share one BBB profile (Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, Mansfield; alt name McDaniel & Son Plumbing), which lists Fort Worth, Arlington and Mansfield; the same two accounts therefore appear in both records and cannot be assigned to one office. The franchise sites carry no location-level review pages. Google/Yelp were not accessible for this pass.
BBB customer review
Vanessa B · May 12, 2026
The reviewer said they were charged a $99 service fee after declining a membership plan, that the technician did not appear to test their water heater with a multimeter, and that the quote for a small leak seemed high and came without a detailed invoice.
BBB customer review
Val E · June 18, 2024
The reviewer said earlier service was good but that staff were rude and disputed when the tankless water heater descaling included in their maintenance agreement was due; they asked for the membership fee back.
Company reply and outcome: A business reply shown with the review disputes the account, says calls are recorded and that the contract could be rescheduled but not cancelled.
Ask before booking: Ask what the service-call fee is if you decline the repair, and ask for an itemized written quote for the water heater work.
